Stimmt, wenn deiner der SyncMaster 2243SN steht zumindest in der alten Anleitung, dass er 1920x1080 bei 60 Hz hätte. (Auch wenn weiter oben steht, das man sich die beste Auflösung am Bildschirmanzeigen lassen soll.) Ich würde trotzdem mal den Bildschirm direkt fragen. Im Zweifelsfall stimmt wahrscheinlich das, was das KRandRTray sagt. Sonst kannst du mal kruler zum messen nehmen.
Kannst du mittlerweile im KRandRTray hochstellen? Und steht in im OSD tatsächlich, das das im Moment anliegt oder das das optimal wäre? Leider ist es verdamt schwer zu sagen, woher das OSD kommt...

Nein, ich kan im KRanRTray nichts hochstellen, nur runter.

Ich glaube schon das im OSD des Monitors das angezeigt wird was aktuell sein sollte. Vorhin stand da ja noch 1024x768.

uhi, sollte ich das wirklich machen? Dazu muss ich nochmal ein Backup der /etc/x11/xorg.conf anlegen oder? Wie mach ich das denn? Hab ich schonmal irgenwo gelesen, weiss aber gerade nicht mehr wo.

Zuerst ist dein Zitat entweder nicht vollständig oder die Syntax der xorg.conf vermurkst.
Außerhalb der Section Monitor sind Modeline (zumal noch alle doppelt) etwas fehl am Platz.
Außerdem dürfte es sinnvoll sein, die Syncwerte an die realen Fähigkeiten des Monitors anzupassen:

Dann ist der Treiber einer Vertikalfrequenz von "hsync: 67.16 kHz;" gegenüber vielleicht etwas aufgeschlossener.

Das scheint mir nur bedingt schlüssig.
Hast du noch einen zweiten Monitor angeschlosssen?
Und warum gibt es drei Sections Monitor?
Und warum wird Monitor0 ausgewählt, wo doch monitor1 der LCD ist?

Ich würde mal in den Text-Modus (als root "init 3" eingeben) schalten, dich dort als root anmelden und die Datei /etc/X11/xorg.conf umbenennen. Dann "startx" eingeben, dann sollte eine jungfräuliche xorg.conf erstellt werden.
In die gehören dann die konkreten Angaben zu den Monitorfrequenzen und die alles entscheidende Modeline.

Ok, das hab ich versucht. Aber er nimmt sich dann anscheinend einen xorg.conf aus der Sicherung oder so. Auf jeden Fall wird keine neue angelegt.

Ich werd das jetzt mal überschlafen und morgen in Ruhe nochmal durchgehen. Bestimmt klappt es dann.

Das stimmt so glaube ich nicht mehr. Der XFdrake erstellt zwar noch eine xorg.conf aber nur das starten von X hilft nicht mehr. Der arbeitet dann ohne und passt dynamisch an.

Guten Abend,

ich habe es nun geschafft das mein Rechner mit Mandriva 2010.2 den xserver nicht mehr starten wollte und da ich eh gerade dabei war einige andere Rechner auf Mageia umzurüsten, habe ich das bei diesem auch gleich gemacht.

Soweit so schlecht. Auch bei Mageia kann ich die Auflösung nicht speichern. Aber dazu mehr im Mageia-Forum.

Ich setze das jetzt mal auf erledigt und melde mich im anderen Forum an.
